A Simple Fix To Reduce Latency In Aion

Browsing around tonight, I found a fix that claimed to reduce latency in WoW, Aion and any other online game.  Skeptical but curious, I downloaded it and gave it a shot.  Whaddaya know…it worked!  Marvelously in fact.  My latency dropped by nearly half.  It is completely virus free and it is legal to use in Aion, so give it a shot and let me know what you think.  There is even a file to remove it, if for some reason you don’t like it.

The fix is here!!

  1. How do I determine my latency in Aion?

  2. […] just found a small post over at Aionicthoughts he is talking about the “Leatrix Latency Fix” intentially made for World of Warcraft but also […]

  3. Thanks! this seems to work pretty well for me. My ping went from around 500ish down to 150-300.

  4. I did this manually early in the open beta week and it did lower latency a bit as expected.

Unfortunately, NCSoft still has a constant 3% – 8% packet loss at:

    p4-3-c0-ncdc-pub.plaync.net

Until they fix that, those passing through that router will have ocassional rubberbanding, a little lag, etc. Very frustrating for those affected.

  5. How do you run the scripts?

    • After you uncompress the files there should be a folder with 3 files and a website link in it. Double click the file named “Optimize TCP for reduced latency and faster gameplay”. The other two files are to check status of the fix and make sure it worked and to remove the fix. Reboot your system after using it and you should be good to go.

  6. Hey, great tip man. Just ran the script and it lowered my ping from 200 to about 60. Game feels so much more responsive now.

  7. Awesome ! My ping in wow went from 250 to 50! Hope it works that well in Aion.

  8. This is awesome thanks! By the way do you know if the Leatrix Gfx Fix works for Aion as well? I got some friends who would like that lol.

  9. Works great! ping went from 250 to 60!
